Futurespeak looks to bring together, bright young minds, giants from the industry & the government to improve the quality of education and create newer avenues for learning.

EVENT DETAILS
THE ANDROID CHALLENGE:  Requires participants to build an app that can run on the Android (OS 1.5 or above) in any of the following categories:
Education Reference
Games: Casual/Puzzle
Games: Arcade/Action
Social Networking
Media
Entertainment
Misc and send it across.
BIZARRE:
A business plan competition that would be judged by Entrepreneurs from different backgrounds. Requires participants to send an executive summary of the idea to qualify to the final round.

ROBOSAPIENS:
Requires participants to unwind their creativity and buid a unique robot. The robots will be judged based on creativity, speed, precision and usefulness. Participants will be shortlisted based on the concept behind their design, which needs to be sent to us.

GREENOVATION:
Requires participants to come up with innovative means of waste management and present the same. Send us an abstract of what you propose. Winners get to intern with leading companies in the field.
EVENT DETAILS
POLAROID:
Requires participants to click photographs (No processing allowed) on the theme "Importance of education for a better tomorrow" and send them across in .jpeg format. Maximum number of photographs that a participant can send is 5.
I Prize = Rs. 10,000/-

PENVISION:
Requires participants to write articles on the theme "Importance of education for a better tomorrow" and send them across in .pdf format. Maximum number of articles that a participant can send is 5.
I Prize = Rs. 5,000/- (also we'll ensure that it is published in a leading daily)

I Prize = Rs. 25,000/- for each of these events (except Greenovation which will fetch you a summer/winter internship)
Register at www.futurespeak.org.in as a student participant
Send in your App/Executive summary/Concept/Abstract as applicable to events@futurespeak.org.in on or before 2359hrs 17th November 2012.
Results will be announced on the 20th and students who qualify to round 2 will be invited to attend FutureSpeak on the 24th November.

Theme:

2020 Future TechLife enabled by Green Innovation. Utilization of ICT Related Technologies to create environmental friendly solutions. Your concept can be directly or indirectly related to ICT technology.

Mission:

Acer Incredible Green Contest encourages students at all level to create green-centric applications to generate innovative and sustainable solutions embracing energy saving, carbon reduction, ecological conversation, and other environmental issues. Most importantly is to increase awareness and understanding of caring for a green environment among general public.

Eligibility:


Who can enter?

Students at all ages worldwide

Actively enrolled at an accredited educational institution prior to 31-Oct-2012

Team V.S. Individual

Individual contestant and team contestants are all encouraged

The size of a team must not exceed 5 members

Duplicate entry is NOT permitted

Eligibility verification

Verification process will begin when you advance to the Semi-Final Round

Others

All entry materials must be submitted and presented in English language
Finalist teams will (up to 2 members/team) travel to Taipei, Taiwan to complete the final stage evaluation
We will disqualify any incomplete or illegible project entries

Competition Elements:

Earth Friendly 40%

Reality Friendly 40%

Innovation Friendly 20%

Concerned factors such as climate, conservation, affordability, applicability, and availability may be leveraged in your project submission
